That's why I felt okay writing about this. I really don't want to hurt his feelings though he irritates me with his "advice".

hops....I do that with complete strangers at the gym who feel obliged to offer me advice that they themselves are not willing to follow. It pisses them off, but who cares.

terry...I agree, use it or wave bye bye to it. And you are right about advice; I don't have to take it, but that doesn't mean I have to reject the person giving it.Jayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17364474203368804347noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22957598.post-56067507232042859562008-08-04T10:07:00.000-05:002008-08-04T10:07:00.000-05:00Jay,I agree there is a thing such as too much exer...Jay,

I agree there is a thing such as too much exercise. In fact, today my trainer sent me a note with a caution not to overtrain.

In less you are doing your lifting and cardio to excess I don't see an issue with it. Perhaps if we were training for the olympics it would be another issue but we are just regular guys trying to stay healthy. Use it or lose it.

As far as an answer to these people that give advice, just a smile and a thank you is all that is required. There may be no connection in their mind between how they appear and the advice they feel compelled to give.

TTerry (kettlebellguy.com)https://www.blogger.com/profile/11804275944898018397noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22957598.post-59171917762833533232008-07-31T17:30:00.000-05:002008-07-31T17:30:00.000-05:00When they offer advice, ask them (nicely and with ...When they offer advice, ask them (nicely and with genuine interest) how it's working for them.
